Difficulties during Everest Trekking?
Even though EBC has a very good, straight trail but trekking toward height, you should always prepare yourself no matter how physically fit you are. For an average person who doesn’t trek more often, exercise before you start your trek. Try hiking, walking for hours, cycling, swimming, climbing, etc.
Acclimatization is most important. Even people who trek very often, need rest. Walking continuously for hours without proper rest, you are sure to get altitude sickness and painful legs.
Most people suffer from Nausea, vomiting, Breathing shortness, etc. However, you can have your choice. You can either rest the whole day enjoying the shining beauty of the mountains or comfortably explore the nearby areas.
It is always better to consult your doctor and bring pre-medications for sensitive people. A healthy body can take up the pain. The right level of fitness makes your trek even more pleasant.
Also, if you want to trek comfortably without much stress, I suggest you hire a travel guide. A travel guide from the Alpine Club of Himalayas doesn’t only help you throughout your trek but knows more about altitude sickness and advice better.
Best Time to Trek?
For Trekking, Nepal is always crowded; however, you should avoid trekking on rainy days. Slippery and landslide-oriented roads always carry the risk of accidents. The best time you can enjoy the majestic Everest Base Camp is from September to November. Even though the nights are quite chilled, the days are perfect.
When trekking during autumn, the trail is quite busy, though, but you get to see the unobstructed views of the mountains. However, the weather around EBC is quite unpredictable.
Make sure you check the weather report before making your plans. Besides, March to May is also a great time to Trek toward the EBC. The blooms of Red rhododendron flowers may make your trail looks like a painting. It’s like heaven on earth. With excellent climatic conditions and moderate temperatures, your trekking experience gets great.
What can you eat?
During Everest Trekking in Nepal, you can get many bed & breakfast houses along the trail where you can enjoy simple breakfasts to dinners. But don’t forget to taste our authentic Nepali food, “Daal Bhatt.” You can have a variety of veg and Non-veg Dinners, whatever you wish for.
But if you trek via a Trekking agency like Alpine Club of Himalaya”, they plan everything for you, including your food. You get your breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to your selected package.
