Charity Trek in Nepal – 11 Days

11 Days

Charity Trek in Nepal is a newly launched destination in Nepal to support disabled people, school children, poor people, and homeless children since 2001 until today. Our main objective is to support the poor, disabled people, and school children. This tour will provide 85% of benefits support to the school children and disabled and poor community while the remaining 15% benefit the Pashupatinath welfare center in Kathmandu. Our organization support/invests the benefit in the same trekking trail’s poor, disabled, and school children. We support 5 school children and poor/disabled people of Birta Deurali VDC-7, Bholung Kavre district. We have only a one-week charity trekking program starting from Dolal Ghat and ending at Bhakunde Besi then drive back to Kathmandu. This is really a non-tourist trekking trail eastern part of Nepal. Bholung village where we support poor/disabled people and school children, is located at 832m just 125 kilometers far from Kathmandu.

Our organization will arrange the charity trekking tour in Annapurna, Langtang, Everest region, or any trekking trials of Nepal according to the client’s demand. We also frequently /annually support the Pasupati welfare center where 240 old men/women are settled. We never said no when we die, but think positively to support them as human beings!

Itinerary

Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and assist you with checking in to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore this historic and vibrant city.

After breakfast, we will depart from the hotel for a full-day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, also known as the "city of glory."

Our first stop will be Durbar (Palace) Square, the epicenter of religious and cultural life. This area is filled with old temples and holds great historical significance, showcasing magnificent Newari architecture. Some of the notable sights to visit include Kal Bhairav, Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap, and Kumari Ghar, which is the residence of the Living Goddess.

Next, we will proceed to Swoyambhunath Stupa, considered to be one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world. It is situated on a hill, offering majestic views of Kathmandu Valley.

Continuing our tour, we will visit Pashupatinath Temple, a significant Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This expansive temple complex is located on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River. While only Hindus are allowed to enter the temple courtyard, tourists can observe the temple from the eastern side of the Bagmati River.

Later on, we will explore Boudhanath, one of the world's largest Buddhist stupas. This colossal structure stands tall, featuring four pairs of eyes that symbolize watching over humanity's righteous conduct and prosperity, each facing the four cardinal directions.

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, the tour begins with a 25-minute flight from Kathmandu Airport to Pokhara.

In Pokhara, we will first visit the deep and narrow gorge of the roaring Seti River. Then, we will drive to Davi's Falls and continue to Gupteswar Cave and the Bat Cave.

In the evening, we will relax by the picturesque Phewa Lake and take a leisurely row on its sparkling waters.

After breakfast, we will drive approximately 41km/25 miles to Nayapul, which marks the starting point of our trek.

From Nayapul, we will follow a steep trail that leads us down to a bridge over a small stream. Crossing the bridge, we will reach Birethanti, a large and prosperous village.

At the ACAP Check post located on the west side of the bridge, we will show our ACAP permit and TIMS Card.

Continuing our trek, we will navigate through the main streets of Birethanti, passing through bamboo forests, a large waterfall, and a swimming hole.

The trail will then lead us to Sudami, situated beyond a pasture commonly used by caravans.

From Sudami, we will steadily ascend the side of the valley until we reach Hille. Just 15 minutes above Hille lies Tikhedhunga.

This trek lasts for approximately 4-6 hours and begins by crossing the Tikhedhunga Khola on a suspension bridge. It then descends and crosses the Bhurungdi Khola on a large bridge at an elevation of 1520m.

The trail continues with a very steep climb on a stone staircase, which is said to consist of more than 3300 steps. This ascent leads to the large Magar village of Ulleri at 2080m.
After Ulleri, the trail gradually climbs through pastures and cultivated fields before entering deep forests. It passes through the hamlet of Banthanti, characterized by magnificent oak and rhododendron forests.

Along the way, we will cross two sparkling clear streams, a small ridge, and another stream before embarking on the final ascent to the Magar village of Nangathanti at 2460m.

Continuing for about an hour past Nangathanti, we will reach Ghorepani. Here, the hillsides below Ghorepani showcase eight different species of Nepal's national flower, the rhododendron.

After approximately an hour of climbing in the morning, we will reach Poon Hill. This viewpoint offers a breathtaking Himalayan panorama, stretching from Dhaulagiri to Annapurna to Machhapuchhre.

The panoramic view encompasses majestic peaks such as Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Tukuche (6920m), Nilgiri (6940m), Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8091m), Hiunchuli (6441m), and Tarke Kang (7193m).

We will then follow the main trail that descends to the south, initially through a staircase and then on a stone-paved trail, high above the river.

Along the way, we will cross a stream at Chane (1690m) and continue to Kimche (1640m). We will then descend along the ridge until we reach Syauli Bazaar (1140m), where we join the Modi Khola.

From this point onward, the path is relatively flat as we walk through a lovely birch forest and rice terraces, following the river valley.

Eventually, we will reach Birethanti. From Birethanti, a 30-minute walk on a rough and rocky road will lead us to Nayapul, where we will board a vehicle for the return drive to Pokhara.

From Pokhara, we will proceed towards Chitwan National Park, an internationally renowned wildlife viewing destination in Asia. This national park holds the prestigious status of being enlisted as a World Heritage site. During our visit, we will have an excellent opportunity to spot various wildlife species, including one-horned rhinos, deer, monkeys, leopards, wild elephants, the royal Bengal tiger, and an impressive array of 450 bird species.

To observe wildlife, birds, and the rare species of flora and fauna, we have various options available. We can embark on a jungle safari, venturing deep into the park, either by a four-wheel jeep or on foot.

Another option is to enjoy a relaxing canoeing trip on the Rapti or Narayani Rivers, which allows us to appreciate the natural surroundings. Alternatively, for a thrilling experience, we can choose to ride on elephants, although it may be less comfortable. Additionally, we can explore the nearby Tharu villages to gain insights into the local culture and lifestyle.

Starting early in the morning, we will drive back to Gorkha, which is approximately a 4-hour drive from Chitwan National Park. From there, we will continue our journey and drive to Namjung Village, where we will have the opportunity to visit the local school and meet the children. We will bring along some essential items, such as stationery, computers, printers, clothes, school bags, and shoes.

Our intention is to support them without causing any disturbance. Later, we will have lunch with a local family and then drive back to Gorkha. In the evening, we will enjoy dinner and spend the night at a hotel.

After enjoying breakfast, we will embark on a 6-hour drive to Kathmandu. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will have a free and leisurely evening to explore Thamel, a vibrant neighborhood known for its shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions. We will spend the night at a hotel.

Today marks our last day in Nepal. After having breakfast, we will take the opportunity to explore Thamel for some final shopping during our last hour. Following that, we will prepare to transfer to the airport for our final departure.
