The Best of Nepal Tour of 19 days offers you an overall exploration of the country. Starting with an in-depth tour of the Kathmandu Valley, visiting several ancient temples, monasteries, and landmarks. Here learn about the rich history, culture, and traditions of the people. Next, catch a flight towards Lukla and starts your trek. Traversing across colorful woodlands on the foothills of the greater Himalayan range explore various settlements and witness grand views of the Himalayas. After exploring the Khumbu region. Catch a flight back to Kathmandu and proceed towards the city of lakes Pokhara.

Upon reaching Pokhara the thrill continues. Head towards Nayapul, the starting point of various treks of the Annapurna region. Traversing through the deep canopy following river networks explore various villages around. Also, visit Poonhill a renowned vantage point of the region showcasing the majestic views of the greater Himalayan range. After exploring the Annapurna region head back to Pokhara. Then proceed towards Chitwan National Park.

An area of over 952 sq. km on the southern central plains of subtropical Inner Terai Lowlands. The park’s southern boundary is bordered by Churia hills and the northern boundary by the Rapti River where 70% of the land is covered by Sal forest and 30% by grasslands and river land forests making it a perfect habitat for tigers, rhinos, wild elephants, and various reptiles and birds, around 650 Species of birds are found in the region. Chitwan National Park was established in 1973 A.D and was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984 A.D, the park territory covers three districts of Chitwan, Nawalpur, and Makwanpur covering a vast area of marshlands and forest home to increasing numbers of animal species. Explore the National park witness wildlife and learning about the people living in the heart of the jungle. After exploring the National Park head back to Kathmandu.

Travel Insurance:

All clients participating in any activity must have travel insurance. Personal injury, death, hospital expenditures, repatriation fees, helicopter rescue. Any other disease covered by the insurance plan will be given. We highly advise you to acquire a comprehensive insurance plan from a trustworthy insurance company.

Passport and Visa:

Every client must have a valid passport from the return date with a 6 months prior validity by the Nepalese consulate in your country or the immigration office at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.

Accommodation:

You will be accommodated in 3-star hotels in Kathmandu. During the trek, we will be staying at lodges/ teahouses providing basic facilities.

Meals and drinking water:

Along the Trek, you will be provided with various Nepali and Tibetan ethnic cuisines. The region has several tea-house along the trail run by local inhabitants providing basic and minimal facilities.

However, drinking water taps are accessible with natural water supplies all along the trekking trail that are untreated. So direct use of the water is not recommended. You may refill boiling water or cold filter water from any of the teahouses along the trail.

If you buy a water purification tablet, chlorine drops or utilize SODIS (sunlight assisted) filtration procedures for further assurance, saving money, and reducing plastic pollution.

Best Time to Visit?

The best season for trekking is during autumn and spring.

The months of September, October, November, March, April, and May are the best time to visit. These months are better in terms of visibility and climate conditions.

During the autumn season, the months of September, October, and November are one of the best times for trekking in this region. The clear weather brings great visibility of the endless mountain ranges and lush green forest with warm temperatures. The nights are clear and are a perfect opportunity for stargazing.

The spring season of March, April, and May is also the best time to visit the Region. End of the winter season brings a change in the region, varieties of colorful blooming trees of the sub-alpine forest, high green pasture lands covered with wildflowers, mild temperatures, and clear weather. In this season you will witness herds of sheep and yaks grazing in the green highlands.

Monsoon season is not favorable as the weather gets harsh and it’s hard to get around the country, with frequent rainstorms and landslides. So, monsoon season is mostly avoided by trekkers.

In the winter season. The Region receives high snowfall covering most of the trails and making it impossible to travel for this reason.

Flight Cancellation Information:

 Weather conditions at high altitudes can change suddenly, which frequently results in changes in intended itineraries. Flights between Kathmandu and Lukla are particularly prone to these delays which have the potential to vary the itinerary of all departures in the Everest region.

Itinerary

The flight into Nepal is mesmerizing with grand views of endless snowcapped peaks, lush green hills, and scattered settlements. Upon arriving at Tribhuvan international airport, a representative of ours will assist you with your accommodation. Upon reaching your accommodation rest for a while. Later head out on a stroll around Thamel a touristic hub of the country. In the afternoon join in for a briefing about the tour. Your team leader and guide will provide you with vital information regarding the tour. After the briefing join in for a welcome dinner program with your team and guide.

Today start early and visit various historical and cultural landmarks of the valley. After breakfast head towards Swayambhunath Stupa perched on a hill in the western part of the Kathmandu Valley. The stupa is one of the most sacred and oldest pilgrimage sites in the country. Learning about the rich history, legends and culture explore the Stupa complex. Also, witness grand panoramic views of the valley and the majestic views of the greater Himalayan range.
Next head towards Kathmandu Durbar Square. The epicenter of the culture and tradition of the valley. Exploring the narrow alleys and visiting various temples head around Durbar Square. After exploring the complex visit various coffee shops around.
Then head towards Patan Durbar Square. Here visit various attractions around learning about the traditions and culture of the region. Eventually after the tour head towards your accommodation.
Meals: Breakfast, Welcome Dinner

Head towards the domestic airport early in the morning and board a flight towards Lukla. The flight takes you over scattered settlements and lush deep rolling hills with views of snowcapped Himalayas. After a 35 minutes flight, reach the small settlement of Lukla perched on a hilltop. The airstrip was established by Sir Edmund Hillary and the Sherpas in the mid-1960s. Upon landing at Lukla and after a brief rest head towards the village of Phakding.

Following the trial, you will first reach Chauri Kharka a beautiful settlement, from here traversing along the banks of Dudh Koshi River will lead you to the settlement of Ghat at an elevation of 2550 meters. Along the way witness the sacred peak of Khumbila, one of the few unclimbed peaks of the Khumbu region. After a brief walk, you will reach Phakding nestled at 2,610 meters, a tiny Sherpa town hidden in the verdant Dudh Koshi Valley.

Today you will be heading towards the Sherpa capital, known as Namche Bazaar. A bustling settlement of the Khumbu region where you will be finding basic to grandeur services on the laps of the mountains.
Following the milky glacial river of Dudh Koshi and traversing along woodlands covered with pines, cider, and verities of rhododendron and eventually crossing the river at Benkar. From this section of the trail, you will witness views of snow-capped Kusum Kanguru at an elevation of 6,369 meters and Thamserku at 6,623 meters.

From here the trail leads you to Monjo, a settlement at an elevation of 2835 meters. At Monjo stop for lunch and again head towards the trail, ascending on hilltops with inclined sections, crossing several suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge, before
approaching the Sagarmatha National Park. At the park's gate make sure your permits are ready for inspection. Next head towards Jorsale and after crossing a high suspension bridge, begin your ascent towards Namche Bazaar. As you progress on the trail you will reach Tope Danda, from here witness the first glimpse of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Taweche. Upon reaching Namche head towards your tea house, and later head out to explore the region. The area has various pubs, restaurants, and various other attractions.

Today is your acclimatization day at Namche Bazar. Due to thin air at higher elevations today’s excursion helps your body better adapt to the high altitude. Take short walks or climb a few hundred feet during the day to any vantage point and get a different perspective of the village, terraced fields, and snowy mountains of Kwangde, Khumbu peak, Thamserku, and Kusum Kanguru before dawn.
After breakfast head towards “THE EVEREST VIEW HOTEL” passing past a large chorten and a long mani wall. From the Hotel catch a glorious view of beautiful landscape filled with evergreen fir trees, shrubs, and endless rhododendron forests and offers a 360 degree view of the awe inspiring Himalayas.

After lunch head towards Thami a village located above the Bhote Khola River Valley. Traversing through the lush woodlands of the Sagarmatha National Park you will reach the
national park headquarters above the village. From here witness panoramic views of the Mahalangur range and the mighty Everest. Explore the national park headquarters and learn about the Sherpa lifestyle, culture, and the biodiversity of the region. After exploring the region head back towards Namche, along the way witness the grand views of dusk.

After breakfast start the trek. Traversing through the U shaped hillside above Namche alongside the Gompa. Traversing across the inclined slopes witness grand views of Kwangde, Khumbila, and Thamserku and Tagi Tau, and Pharchamo. As you gain altitude witness the tip of Ama Dablam and Taboche. Progressing on the trail reach an intersection from move towards the right hand for Khumjung.
Walking past a large Chorten and a long mani wall, you will reach a viewpoint. from here witness views of the mighty Everest, Lhotse, and Lhotse Shar (East) peak, besides Thamserku , Ama Dablam, and Taboche. From here the path drops to Khumjung past the Hillary School and eventually towards the settlement. Khumjung is famous for its Gompa that stands in a grove of cedar in the upper part of the village where there is an image of the Guru Padmasambhava, who spread Buddhism in Tibet. Inside the Gompa is a preserved skull that lamas believe is that of the yeti. Explore the Gompa and the learn about various myths and legends.

From Namche, take the easy level trail that cuts around the ridge from Chhorkung to reach the end of a buffer zone which takes you across a viewpoint over a grand panorama of peaks from Thamserku to Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Everest.
From here head towrdas Kyangjuma located at an elevation of 3550 meters and a short walk from there takes you to an important trail junction at Sanasa at an altitude of 3600 meters from here take the trail towrads Tengboche that runs gently downhill towards the river.
This trail then drops gradually to Lawichasa on a backdrop of Mt. Ama Dablam. From Lawichasa a narrow trail branches north to reach Tashinga and now the trail ascends down on steep stone steps to Phunki Thenga at an elevation of 3250 meters and then to a suspension bridge.
From the bridge, the trail climbs past some water-powered prayer wheels and begins a sustained climb through a forest of tall, mature rhododendrons. Following the trail head towards and reach the settlement of Tengoche. After checking in at your tea house head towards the famous Tengboche monastery.

Wake up early and witness the grand views of the sunrise. After breakfast start the trek back to Namche Bazaar. Following the downhill trail reach the village of Phunki Tenga. Along the way witness grand views of the landscape. Next head on a steep climb as you gain elevation you will be traversing on ridge section. Following the ridge eventually reach Namche Bazaar.
After a brief rest head out to explore around. Visit various pubs and restaurants around and relax.

Descending through Namche Bazaar, following the rapids of the Dudh Koshi South. As you progress you be traversing through lush rhododendron and pine forests. Progressing on the trail pass the settlement of Jorsale, Monzo, and Benkar to Chaunrikhara. From here leave the main trail and climb the short distance to the small airstrip of Lukla.

Catch an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu, and once you arrive at Kathmandu check into your hotel. Later head out to stroll around Thamel. Visit various pubs and restaurants around.

After breakfast head towards the domestic airport and catch a flight to the city of lakes Pokhara. The flight takes you across lush rolling hills and views of snowcapped mountain ranges. Witness dazzling views of Ganesh Himal, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Annapurna, and Machhapuchhre. Upon reaching Pokhara after a brief rest head out to explore the wonders of the city. Visit the deep narrow gorge of the roaring Seti River, Davi’s Falls a renowned waterfall of the region, and further explore the networks of Gupteshwar Cave and the Bat Cave. After a short sightseen of the city head towards Nayapul.
The 41km/25 miles drive takes you across high hill sections with views of the greater Himalayas. Upon reaching Nayapul you will start your trek. Start by following a steep trail across the lush woodlands, after a while the trail drops to a bridge over a small stream to the village of Birethanti.
From Birethanti take the left branch of the trail on the west side of the bridge, as you progress you will reach the Annapurna Conservation Area Project Check post. Hereafter your ACAP permits are inspected head towards Birethanti.
Following the forested trail of bamboo, you will reach a large waterfall and a swimming hole, the village of Sudami. From here ascending a hill section up the side of the valley you will reach Hille. A brief walk from here will eventually lead you to the settlement of Thikhedhunga.

Start by traversing along the deep wilderness and crossing the Thikhedhunga Khola on a suspension bridge. As you progress you will cross another river network of the Bhurungdi Khola on a large bridge at an elevation of 1520 meters. Next, you will be ascending a steep section of a well-maintained series of stone stairs, more than 3300 which eventually leads you to the
large Magar village of Ulleri nestled at an elevation of 2080 meters.

Furthermore, head past the pasture and lush agriculture fields and you will come across the
deep forest trails. Following the trail, you will reach Banthanti. From Banthanti, traverse across magnificent oak and rhododendron forests crossing several sparkling clear streams, a small ridge to another Magar village of Nangathanti at an elevation of 2460 meters. Along this section witness eight different species of Nepal’s national flower rhododendron. After a brief walk from Nangathanti, you will finally reach the settlement of Ghorepani.

Today wake up before dawn and head out towards the renowned vantage point of the PoonHill. The climb to the top takes around a couple of hours on an ascending trail with well-maintained series of stairs. Upon reaching the top witness views of the great landscapes of the deep wilderness and the snowcapped peaks. Mountain peaks from Dhaulagiri to Annapurna to Machhapuchhre: Dhaulagiri I ( 8167m), Tukuche (6920m), Nilgiri (6940m), Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8091m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Machhapuchhre (6,993m) and Tarke Kang (7193m). All standing at its grandeur basking in the morning rays of the sun and changing their colors.
After soaking in the sensational views, follow the main trail which leads south. Traversing on a series of stairs then following the high route above the raging river on a stone-paved trail. As you progress you will reach the tiny settlement of Chane at an elevation of 1690 meters and Kimche at 1690 meters. Following a downhill trail towards the Modi Khola next, you will reach Syauli Bazaar nestled in the heart of the jungle at an elevation of 1140 meters.
From here walking on flat terrain and following the river network through a lovely birch forest and rice terraces reach Birethanti. After a short walk from Birethanti, you will finally reach Nayapul. From Nayapul head back towards Pokhara. Upon reaching Pokhara after a brief rest head out and explore the Phewa Lake, later visit various restaurants and pubs of the region.

Today’s trail is mostly on downward sections, so take it slow. Start traversing across mossy
Rhododendron forest, through deep gorges, and along a clear creek. From this section witness
Grand views of the old-growth forest and the snow-white loft peaks. As you progress on this
downward trail you will emerge out of the wilderness and the landscape starts changing to a
dryer, more open forest. After a brief walk, you will eventually reach the settlement of
Ghandruk.

At Ghandruk, visit the museum and learn about the culture and traditions of the locals. After exploring the region, witness the grand views of the sunset from the porch of your tea-house.

Have your breakfast witnessing the views of the mountains basking in the views of the sunrise. After soaking in the sensational views, follow the main trail which leads south. Traversing on a series of stairs then following the high route above the raging river on a stone-paved trail. As you progress you will reach the tiny settlement of Chane at an elevation of 1690 meters and Kimche at 1690 meters. Following a downhill trail towards the Modi Khola next, you will reach Syauli Bazaar nestled in the heart of the jungle at an elevation of 1140 meters.
From here walking on flat terrain and following the river network through a lovely birch forest and rice terraces reach Birethanti. After a short walk from Birethanti, you will finally reach Nayapul. From Nayapul head back towards Pokhara. Upon reaching Pokhara after a brief rest head out and explore the Phewa Lake, later visit various restaurants and pubs of the region.

After breakfast, head to Chitwan National park. One of the best-managed parks in the world, which is approximately 160 kilometers and takes 4-5 hours from Pokhara. The drive takes you from the central hills of the country to the southern flatlands. Upon reaching Chitwan relax on the porch of your hotel enjoying the majestic views of sunset.

06.00: Wake up call.
06.30: Breakfast.
07.00: Head out on Canoe ride along the Rapti River. An excellent opportunity for bird watching and witness 2 rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the fish eating Gharial. Next head on a Jungle Walk. Later if you prefer on the way back you can enjoy the elephant bath.
13.00: Lunch.
15.00: Jeep Safari. An excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, wild boar, monkey, leopard, sloth bear, and the Royal Bengal Tiger (If you are lucky). You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home.
20.00: Dinner.

6:00: Wake up call.
06.30: Breakfast.
07.00: Visit to the Government Elephant Breeding Centre and explore and learn about these beautiful creatures.
10.00: Departure for onward journey or back to Kathmandu.
Upon arriving at Kathmandu head towards your accommodation. In the evening join in for a special farewell dinner to mark the end of your exciting adventure.

    This is the most intense trek I have ever done in my entire life. We all had best trek ever despite bad weather during our trek to Annapurna. It was a well planned trek. Guide and porters were very experienced and knowledgeable. Guide Kamal was a fun loving so we never get tired from his jocks.

    We really had best adventurerous combined trek with Alpine club of Himalaya. Sujan Lamichhane ensured that the trek goes smoothly so it did. We had best porter and guide. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. We felt free to trek with them. The tea house are nice and people are very friendly. I would recommend Alpine club of Himalaya to everyone who wish to trek in Nepal.
