Which provide pilgrims with means to navigate the challenging terrain while preserving the sanctity and significance of the pilgrimage experience.

Your safety is of paramount importance to us at Alpine Club of Himalaya. We have the absolute authority to cancel the trip or change the itinerary. When seems necessary or when we have reason to believe your safety is at stake. Health condition of group members, natural disasters, such can contribute to changes in itinerary when traveling in remote mountainous regions. In extreme situations, we kindly request you offer your full co-operation to the leader of the group appointed by ACH. However, we assure you that we will make every effort to keep to the above itinerary.

Overview

Accommodations:

You will be accommodated in Alpine Hotel and Apartment or similar hotels in Kathmandu, standard tea houses during trekking and tents when climbing. Most tea house accommodations will only have shared toilet facilities. For tent accommodation, foam mattress will be made available. In climbing section, toilet facilities will be provided with necessary natural preservation. All accommodations in Kathmandu and tea houses are on twin-shared basis whereas a single tent will be provided to each individual for the climbing section. We can cater to special request for a single room in Kathmandu by paying a single supplement of USD 310. However, there are several tea houses on the trekking route that doesn’t allow single room accommodation. On paying a single supplement, you will get a single room in Kathmandu however sometimes it is feasible only in the trekking areas of the lower elevations.


Meals:

During Poon Hill Sunrise Trek and Everest View Trek, you can enjoy Nepali, Tibetan, Indian as well as more common continental cuisines. Breakfast (only) will be provided during your stay in Kathmandu whereas all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) will be available during the trek and climb. While trekking, breakfast will be taken in the same place we stay the night. Similar arrangements can also be arrange for dinner. Lunch will be taken en route to the next destination. During climbing session, hygienic and freshly-cooked food will be provided. There will also be welcome and farewell dinners in Kathmandu.

Itinerary

Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport where you will be warmly welcomed and escorted to the hotel. In the evening you will be invited for welcome dinner.Meals: Welcome Dinner

Early morning Pashupathinath Darshan and tour briefing in the afternoon. Overnight at hotel.Meals: Breakfast

Early breakfast at hotel, today we arrive at Tibet , lunch at border ( Nepal side ), after immigration and custom formalities – we proceed to Zhangmu ( border Tibet side ), here we meet our Chinese guide, drivers and vehicles(Toyota Land Cruiser) – continue drive to Nyalam ( our first overnight in China) , and overnight at Nyalam lodge or similar .Meals: Breakfast

The whole day we are here for the acclimatization. Overnight at lodge ( Nyalam lodge or similar ).Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast we drive Dongba, en-route you will be passing through Lalungla pass ( 16000ft ) – huge lake Paigu-Tso & Brahmaputra river, delicious packed lunch will be served on the way ,o/n at hotel in Dongba.Meals: Breakfast

Today is the day for the lifetime that you are going to have darshan of the Holy “Mt. Kailash & Lake Manasarover” – day’s program as usual, after breakfast at around 8 am , we drive through Mayumu – la pass ( 17000ft ). – the highest point of the driving , lunch on the way , dinner and overnight at Camp Horchu ( 2 men tent ) .Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Till 2 pm free for pooja and hawan, Drive to Darchen via Mansarovar parikrama , overnight at Darchen lodge( 3- 4 pax dormitory accomodation ). Meals: Breakfast

“Tough day” – after breakfast drive to Tarboche (8 kms) and start trek for Kailash parikrama to Diraphuk ( 16,500 ft ) – 12 kms , light lunch on the way, Dinner overnight at Camp ( 2 men tent ) .Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

This is the day every pilgrims talk about, the most difficult journey throughout the yatra – trek up to the 18,600ft. ( Dolma- la Pass) – descend to Gauri kund and further trek along with the river to Diraphuk , dinner & overnight at Camp ( 2 men tent ).Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast we trek around 6 kms, and we will be reaching to the point where the jeeps will be waiting for us – drive to Darchen , after lunch we drive to Lake Mansarovar ( horchu side ) 70 kms , overnight at Camp ( 2 men tent ).Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We are returning home – leaving this holy place, after breakfast drive up to Dongba , lunch en-route , dinner & overnight stay at Dongba.Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast drive to Nyalam – light lunch on the way – dinner and overnight at lodge.Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast drive to Zhangmu, after the immigration and custom formalities – cross over to Nepal border , lunch at border guest house and drive to Kathmandu (144 kms). Overnight in Kathmandu.Meals: Breakfast, Farewell Dinner

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport to board the flight back home or to your onward destination.Meals: Breakfast
