Kathmandu Durbar Square is a UNESCO world heritage site also known as Hanuman Dhoka square. Is one of the major attractions in Kathmandu Valley. Most of the cultural centers of Nepal are concentrated around the Kathmandu valley; among those cultural sites, the important one is the Hanuman-Dhoka Durbar Square. The name Hanuman-Dhoka Durbar came from the statue of Hanuman established by King Pratap Malla at the entrance of the royal palace in 1672 A.D.
The whole complex is also known as Kathmandu Durbar Square. Located at the heart of the ancient city of Kathmandu surrounded by both Hindu and Buddhist temples dating from the 15th to 18th centuries. The Durbar Square, with its old temples, and palaces, epitomizes the religious and cultural life of the people. Pashupatinath Temple:
One of the most sacred Hindu temples of Nepal – Pashupatinath Temple is located on the banks of the Bagmati River on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu. Pashupatinath is the most important temple dedicated to the Hindu deity Shiva. Hindus from every corner visit this massive temple complex throughout the year. Regarded as the head of Shiva the area consist of various ancient temples and monuments.
As per beliefs that those who die in Pashupatinath Temple are reborn as a human, regardless of any misconduct that could worsen their karma. So the temple has a special atmosphere of death; death is present in almost every ritual and every corner of it.

Budhanilkhanta:
The Budhanilkhanta statue of the Hindu god Vishnu, located approximately 10 kilometers from the center of Kathmandu at the base of the Shivapuri Hill, is the largest and most beautiful stone carving in all of Nepal. It is also the most enigmatic. Carved from a single block of black basalt stone of unknown origin, the Budhanilkhanta statue is 5 meters in length and it lies in a reclining position inside a recessed tank of water (representing the cosmic sea) that is 13 meters in length.
Called the Sleeping Vishnu, or Jalakshayan Narayan, the statue depicts the deity reclining on the twisting coils of the cosmic serpent Shesha (Shesha is the eternal, multi-headed king of the serpent deities known as Nagas, and also is the servant of Vishnu). Vishnu’s legs are crossed and the eleven heads of Shesha cradle his head. Vishnu’s four hands hold objects that are symbols of his divine qualities: a chakra or disc (representing the mind), a conch-shell (the four elements), a lotus flower (the moving universe), and the club (primeval knowledge).

Early in the morning following the winding roads of the Prithvi Highway head towards Kurintar. After a 3-hour drive, you will eventually reach the Kurintar, nestled at the banks of the mighty Trishuli River. A short cable car ride and eventually you will reach Manakamana. Tal Barahi:
Tal Barahi Temple is a small two-story pagoda-style temple nestled on a small island in the center of Phewa Lake. The temple is dedicated to the deity Tal Barahi. This Hindu temple in Nepal is dedicated to Ajima in the boar manifestation, a representation of the force of Shakti. Shakti is the Hindu mother goddess who is the origin of the universe’s creativity and power. Shakti as a feminine power assumes several roles. In the form of Durga, Shakti protects the gods from demons. Durga takes on the manifestation of Ajima in the form of a boar called Barahi to pierce her evil enemies with her pointed tusks. Barahi is pictured with the face of boar with a cup in one hand and fish in another hand. As such, Barahi Temple is a very important center of worship for Hindu devotees.

Bindhyabasini Temple:
Bindhyabasini Temple is the center of religious activity in the lid bazaar. It is dedicated to Goddess Bhagawati, yet another manifestation of Shakti. The park-like grounds offer a fine picnic area. On Saturdays and Tuesdays devotees flock to the temple and offer sacrifices.

Devi’s Falls:
David’s Fall is locally known as Paatal Ko Chango meaning "Underworld's Waterfall". A charming little waterfall is located about 2 km southwest of the Pokhara Airport on the Siddhartha Highway. The Phewa Lake is the water source for Devi’s fall. The waters run into various cave networks around the region.

Gupteshwar Cave:
Near David’s Fall visit the Gupteshwar Gupha, a mysteriously sacred cave that holds unique value for Hindus. Where a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva was discovered in a perfectly preserved condition. Explore the complex cave network and witness the bottom of David’s Fall.

After breakfast, bidding farewell to Pokhara head on a long drive towards Kathmandu.
