Nepal Temples and Pagodas Tour starts with an in-depth exploration of the various important temples and monasteries around Kathmandu. Visit ancient temples, palaces, monasteries, and various landmarks around. Also, learn about the colorful history of the country. Next, the tour takes you to visit the city of Patan. Where you will be strolling across narrow streets, visiting bustling markets, and soaking in the vibrant energy of the region. Then proceed towards the village of Khokana and Bungmati where witness the rural lifestyle of the Nepalese people. After exploring the valley head towards Nagarkot.

Nestled on the eastern outskirts of the valley the hill station of Nagarkot perched at an elevation of 2,175 meters. It is the perfect vantage point to witness the landscapes of Kathmandu valley and views of the central and eastern Himalayan ranges. On a clear day mountain peaks of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Jugal, Rolwaling, and Everest can be seen from here. The region is also an ideal destination for travelers to witness grand views during sunrise and sunset, from above the clouds. After enjoying the grand views head down towards the ancient temple of Changunarayan, regarded as one of the oldest in the country. Then the tour finally takes you to Bhaktapur. Here explore admiring the exquisite architecture around you and get insight into the culture and traditions of the locals.

Travel Insurance:

All clients participating in any activity must have travel insurance. Personal injury, death, hospital expenditures, repatriation fees, and helicopter rescue. Any other disease covered by the insurance plan will be given. We highly advise you to acquire a comprehensive insurance plan from a trustworthy insurance company.

Passport and Visa:

Every client must have a valid passport from the return date with a 6 month prior validity by the Nepalese consulate in your country or the immigration office at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.

Accommodation: 

You will be accommodated in the Alpine Hotel and Apartment or similar hotels in Kathmandu. In Nagarkot, you will be accommodated in a 3-star hotel.

Weather conditions, the health condition of a group member, natural disasters, and such, can contribute to changes in the itinerary when traveling in remote mountainous regions. Itinerary

After arriving at Kathmandu International Airport, a representative from the Alpine Club of Himalaya will welcome and escort you to your accommodation. After checking in you may explore the city. Stroll around Thamel a touristic hub of the region. Later in the afternoon join in for a brief orientation regarding the tour followed by a special welcome dinner program.

After breakfast, head out on a full-day sightseeing tour of the valley. First visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, the epicenter of religious and cultural life, an area filled with old temples and palaces having historical significance with old glorious Newari architecture. Some of the sights are Kal Bhairav, Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap, and Kumari Ghar; home to the Living Goddess.
Afterward, visit Swayambhunath Stupa, one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world, which is majestically set high on a hill overlooking Kathmandu Valley with snowy mountains ranges to the north.
Next proceed towards Pashupatinath Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This massive temple complex sits alongside the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Only Hindus are allowed to enter the courtyard of the temple, whereas tourists can see the temple from the eastern side of the Bagmati River.
Later visit Bouddhanath, a Buddhist Stupa said to be one of the largest in the world. This massive structure stands tall with four pairs of eyes each facing the four cardinal directions, watching for the righteous behavior of mankind and human prosperity.

After breakfast head on a detailed tour of the various towns around the valley. First proceed towards Patan Durbar Square. Here Visit various landmarks such as Patan Durbar Square, Krishna Temple, Golden Temple (Hiranya Varna Mahavihar), and many others. The area is filled with glorious architecture and is one of the finest in the whole of the valley. Also, visit the Tibetan Handicraft Centre where you’ll see the art of making carpets by the Tibetan refugees.
Then the tour takes you to the ancient town of Khokana and Bungmati. The villages of Bungmati and Khokana go back to the sixteenth century or prior. Exhibiting a grand scale of culture, traditions, and lifestyles that has little changed. The tour can be best described as a living museum. After exploring these villages' next head on a short drive towards Nagarkot.
Upon reaching Nagarkot relax and unwind with splendid views of the landscape. Enjoy the majestic sunset and witness the greater Himalayan range including the mighty Mt Everest.

Wake up before dawn and enjoy the grand views during the golden sunrise. Relax and enjoy the views of lush networks of hills and snow-capped mountain ranges from above the clouds. After having your breakfast head towards the Changunarayan temple. The temple enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage site and is regarded as the oldest temple in the Kathmandu Valley. Explore the temple complex learning about the rich history and legends. The tour begins in Bhaktapur with a visit to Durbar Square, the Golden Gate, and the Palace of 55 Windows to see Lion’s Gate. The Nyatapola Temple, the tallest of its kind in Nepal, Bhairab Temple, and the Pottery Centre.
After the tour is completed, drive back to Kathmandu.

Today you will be returning to your country. Alpine Club of Himalaya representative will drop you at the airport.
