Sirubari is a Gurung village nestled in Syangja southwest of Pokhara. The region is renowned for its rich heritage and community homestays. Making it a perfect gateway to soak in nature and culture at its best. The tour captures your imagination.

Sirubari Village Homestay Tour starts with an in-depth cultural tour of Kathmandu and Pokhara. Visiting various ancient landmarks and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. After exploring the narrow streets and bustling markets the tour leads you to Sirubari. A short drive from Pokhara followed by a trek you will eventually reach Sirubari.

At Sirubari learn about the rich culture and traditions of the people. Explore villages nearby and agriculture belts. Also, attend various cultural programs and learn about the legends. From Sirubari head on a short hike towards Dahare Hill. The hike takes you following lush woodlands on well-maintained series of stairs. From the top of the hill witness views like never before. Lush networks of hills and snowcapped mountain peaks. After exploring Sirubari head back towards Pokhara and eventually towards Kathmandu.

Travel Insurance:

All clients participating in any activity must have travel insurance. Personal injury, death, hospital expenditures, repatriation fees, helicopter rescue. Any other disease covered by the insurance plan will be given. We highly advise you to acquire a comprehensive insurance plan from a trustworthy insurance company.

Passport and Visa:

Every client must have a valid passport from the return date with a 6 months prior validity by the Nepalese consulate in your country or immigration office at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.

Accommodation: 

You will be accommodated in the Alpine Hotel and Apartment or similar hotels in Kathmandu. In Pokhara, you will be staying at Splendid View Pokhara Hotel. In Sirubari you will be accommodated in Homestays.

Your safety is of paramount importance to us at the Alpine Club of Himalaya. We have the absolute authority to cancel the trip or change the itinerary, when deemed necessary or when we have reason to believe your safety is at stake. Weather conditions, the health condition of a group member, natural disasters, and such, can contribute to changes in the itinerary when traveling in remote mountainous regions. In these extreme situations, we kindly request that you offer your full co-operation to the trusted leader of the group appointed by the Alpine Club of Himalaya. However, we assure you that we will make every effort to keep to the above itinerary.

Itinerary

Upon arrival at the Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport. A representative from the Alpine Club of Himalaya will assist you with your accommodation. Upon arriving at your hotel, rest for a while. Later join in for a short briefing regarding the trek. In the evening join in for a special dinner program where you will experience excellent Nepalese cuisine.

After breakfast, head on for a full-day sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley. First head towards Durbar (Palace) Square, the epicenter of religious and cultural life, an area filled with old temples and historical significance with glorious old Newari architecture. Some of the sights include Kal Bhairav, Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap, and Kumari Ghar; home to the Living Goddess.

Afterward, visit Swayambhunath Stupa, one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world, which is majestically set high on a hill overlooking Kathmandu Valley. Thereafter proceed towards Pashupatinath Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This massive temple complex sits alongside the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Only Hindus are allowed to enter the courtyard of the temple, whereas tourists can see the temple from the eastern side of the Bagmati River. Later visit Boudhanath, a Buddhist Stupa which is one of the largest in the world. This massive structure stands tall with four pairs of eyes each facing the four cardinal directions, watching for the righteous behavior of mankind and human prosperity. After exploring the valley head towards your accommodation. Later join in for a brief orientation regarding the tour.

After breakfast, head out on a long drive towards Pokhara. Following the winding roads of the Prithvi Highway crossing various settlements. Upon reaching Pokhara head towards your accommodation, after a brief rest head out to explore the city. Stroll around the banks of Phewa Lake and witness grand views of the Himalayas. Also, enjoy splendid views during the sunset.

After breakfast head on a tour to various attractions around Pokhara.

Sarangkot:

Wake up before dawn and head towards Sarangkot, a vantage point nestled on a small hilltop, renowned for its breathtaking view at dawn and dusk with majestic views of the Annapurna range and Machhapuchhre. The drive takes around 20 minutes from Lakeside. From the hilltop witness the rays of the sun illuminating the mountain peaks, from Dhaulagiri (8167 Meters ) in the west to the perfect pyramid of Machhapuchhre (6997 Meters) and the rounded peak of Annapurna II (7937 Meters) in the east and the panoramic view of the city and the lakes.

Davis Fall / Gupteshwar Gupha:

After spending an hour head back for your breakfast. Next, head towards Devis Fall. Locally known as the Patale Chango (Hell’s Fall). David’s fall (also known as Devin’s and Devi’s) is a lovely waterfall lying about 2 km southwest of the Pokhara airport on the Siddhartha Highway. Legend has it that a trekker called David was washed away by the Pardi Khola and mysteriously disappeared into an underground passage beneath the fall, thus giving the name David's Fall. Further head towards Gupteshwar Cave also known as the Gupteshwar Gupha, which holds special religious importance for Hindus. The main highlight of the cave is the Shivalinga, the phallic symbol of Lord Shiva. Hiking down to the end of the cave you'll reach just across the waters of Devi’s fall.

World Peace Pagoda:

After exploring the city head on a short drive to a hilltop located on the banks of the Phew Lake. After a brief ride, you will reach the hilltop of Anadu Hill. Located at a height of 1100 meters, the Stupa is the first World Peace Pagoda of Nepal. From here witness grand views of the valley below with concrete jungles and tranquil lakes also soak in the majestic views of the hill networks and the Himalayas around.

Shiva Statue:

Next, head towards Shiva Statue Pumdikot. Nestled on the southern side of the valley at an elevation of 1500 meters. It is the biggest Shiva statue in Asia. The whole structure stands 108 feet tall and the statue itself is 51 feet. Explore the statue and learn about the rich history and culture of the people. Later soak in the grand views of Mt Machhapuchhre, Mt Dhaulagiri, Mt Annapurna, Mt Himchuli, Mt Mardi, and other various mountain peaks.

After the tour is completed, you will be dropped off at your accommodation. Later you may stroll around the banks of Phewa Lake or head on a scenic boat ride.

After breakfast head on a short drive towards Arjunchaupari. Following the roads of Siddhartha highway. Upon reaching Arjunchaupari after a brief rest start the trek towards Sirubari. The trek takes you following the trails covered with lush canopy. A brief walk and eventually you will reach the village. Upon reaching the village you will be welcomed by the locals and assist you to your homestay. After resting for a while head out to explore the village. In the evening attend cultural programs.

Today you will be exploring Sirubari. Wake up before dawn and head towards any vantage point and witness grand views of the sunrise over the Himalayas. Next head down and have your authentic Nepalese breakfast. Then stroll around the village learning about the rich history, traditions, and culture of the people. Hike to neighboring villages and relax soaking in the grand views of the landscapes. In the evening attend various cultural programs.

Wake up before dawn and head towards Dahare Hill. The hike takes you traversing along lush forested trails and following series of stone paved stairs. Upon reaching the top of the hill witness views like never before. The complex networks of hills and mountains surround you. Dhaulagiri to Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and Manaslu including rolling green hills and valleys. Bask in the splendid views of sunrise and enjoy the majestic views. After exploring retrace your steps back to Sirubari. Upon reaching Sirubari relax.

After breakfast retrace your steps back to Arjunchaupari. Then head on a short drive towards Pokhara. On arriving at Pokhara head towards your accommodation. Later stroll around the city.

After breakfast head towards the domestic airport and catch a flight to Kathmandu. Upon reaching Kathmandu proceed towards your accommodation. Later stroll around Thamel a touristic hub of the valley. In the evening join in for a special farewell dinner to mark the end of your successful adventure.
