The main source of Trishuli is from Bhote Koshi which originates from Tibet. Passes Kerung Valley towards Nepal from Raswagari. Mixing into the rapids of Langtang Khola and Chillum Khola further with the waters of Gosaikunda lake it finally becomes Trishuli. A mixture of three tributaries. Trishuli River rafting grades from 3+ to 4 meaning it is appropriate for the first time as well as experienced rafters. Making it an excellent short trip filled with thrill and adventure.
Rafting Information: Kathmandu/ Pokhara – Charaudi – Rafting – Kathmandu/ Pokhara
After an early breakfast at your hotel in Kathmandu or Pokhara. Head on a drive to Charaudi the starting point of your Rafting trip. Upon arriving at Charaudi meet your Rafting guide. After a brief explanation about the safety equipment and proper procedures, start the trip.
During the rafting, you will run into several rapids. The rapids have been given Nepali and English names according to the grade of difficulty. Listening to stories behind each of the rafting destinations by your guide head on this thrilling adventure.
After a short rafting experience has lunch at the riverside. On unique terrains of huge boulders and rocks. Shortly after lunch, you will again continue the ride. Following the rapids, enter the Trishuli gorge from where the canyon narrows down and walls become steeper with a dense canopy of vegetation surrounding you, and so does the current of the river. As the rapids increase in volume and frequency hang on and have a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
After this stimulating experience, lay back on your raft and witness Majhi (Fisherman) building traps and preparing their fishing lines all along the riverbanks. The last section of the rapid takes you to Jholungepul, which is named for an extensive suspension bridge, upon reaching here your rafting trip ends. From here head towards Kathmandu or Pokhara.
