Kathmandu Valley and Bardia National Park Tour – 8 Days

Upon arriving at Tribhuvan international airport a representative from the Female Guide Kathmandu will greet you and assist you with your accommodation. Upon arriving at your hotel rest for a while and later head out to explore Thamel a touristic hub of Kathmandu. In the evening join in for a brief orientation regarding the tour.

After breakfast proceed out to explore the wonders of the Kathmandu valley. The valley is filled with historical wonders. Head on a guided tour to various UNESCO World Heritage Sites around. First head towards Swayambhunath Stupa popular known as Monkey Temple. Set on a high hill on the western side of the valley the Stupa is dotted with several temples and ancient landmarks. Also, witness panoramic views of the valley and the rows of snowcapped mountain peaks to the north.

Next, head towards Bouddhanath Stupa. Bouddhanath nestled on the ancient trade route between Nepal and Tibet. The massive stupa is the largest in the country and is regarded as one of the holiest pilgrimage sites for people following Tibetan Buddhism. The stupa complex was established in the 5th century AD and built upon the relics of Kashyap Buddha. This massive stupa is regarded as a powerful meditation tool Mandala.

Then explore the Pashupatinath temple. Pashupatinath Temple is the holiest Hindu temple in the country. Dedicated to the Hindu deity Shiva and regarded as the head of the deity. The temple complex nestles at the bank of the holy Bagmati River surrounded by several ancient temples and various important landmarks. The Pashupatinath Temple is also known as the protector of the country.

After the tour is completed you will be dropped at your accommodation.

Today after breakfast explore other cultural wonders of the valley. A short drive from your accommodation and you will reach the historical medieval city of Patan. At Patan visit various ancient landmarks around and learn about the rich culture and traditions of the people.

Next head out to explore the ancient town of Khokana. Known as the living museum of Kathmandu here experience the rural lifestyle of the people. After exploring Khokana, proceed towards Bungmati village. Here witness glorifying architectural wonders around. After the tour is completed head towards the ancient city of Bhaktapur. At Bhaktapur visit the various places, temples, and square around and also participate in pottery activities around. After exploring around the Bhaktapur head towards Nagarkot.

Nestled at an elevation of 2,175 meters the hill station of Nagarkot provides grand views of the Kathmandu Valley, complex networks of hills, and rows of endless snowcapped mountain peaks. Upon reaching Nagarkot relax on the porch of your hotel and witness the sunset from above the clouds.

Wake up early and bask in the views of the sunrise. After having breakfast head towards the domestic airport and catch a flight to Nepalgunj. Next head on a long drive towards Bardia National Park. Upon reaching the park proceed towards your accommodation and after a brief rest head out to explore around. Visit various Tharu settlements around and learn about the culture and traditions of the indigenous people. Also, visit the various animal breeding farms around the Park.

Wake up before dawn and witness the views of mesmerizing sunrise. After breakfast embark on a journey toward the woods. Following the trails of the old-growth forest. On the trail witness various biodiversity of the region. Home to a wide variety of species including the Asian elephant, one-horn rhinoceros, spotted deer, hog deer, barking deer, sambar deer, swamp deer, black buck, wild boar, the royal Bengal tiger, leopard, golden jackal, striped hyena, and others with various species of birds. Traversing across deep canopy visit various deep sections of the woodlands discovering new things. After exploring the jungles head back to your accommodation. In the afternoon attend a cultural program performed by the Tharus.

After breakfast, head on a short drive towards Chisapani, a village located near the banks of the mighty Karnali River. From Chisapani proceed on a boat ride and witness the wildlife of the region. Maneuvering across the shallow water witness the Gariyal crocodile, marsh mugger, and if you are lucky the Gangetic dolphins. Also, witness various species of native and migratory birds across the wide marshlands. After the boating experience head back towards your accommodation and later stroll around the jungles and bask in the views of the mesmerizing sunset.

Wake up early and head on a thrilling jeep safari across the National Park and witness the wildlife of the region. After the safari head back towards your accommodation and proceed towards Nepalgunj airport. Next, catch a flight back to Kathmandu. Along the flight witness the grand views of the topography. The southern belt of Terai, the central hills of the Mahabharat range, and the greater mountain range to the north.

A representative from Female Guide Kathmandu will drop you at the airport. Say your goodbye to Nepal and the newly made friends.
