Kathmandu Valley

The flight to Nepal is mesmerizing with grand views of endless snowcapped peaks, lush green hills, and scattered settlements. Upon arriving at Tribhuvan international airport, a representative of ours will assist you with your accommodation. Upon reaching your accommodation rest for a while. Later head out on a stroll around Kathmandu, the valley has a collection of various natural and cultural landmarks.

Boudhanath Stupa

After breakfast, head on for a full-day sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley. First head towards Durbar (Palace) Square, the epicenter of religious and cultural life, an area filled with old temples and historical significance with glorious old Newari architecture. Some of the sights include Kal Bhairav, Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap, and Kumari Ghar; home to the Living Goddess.

Afterward, visit Swayambhunath Stupa, one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world, which is majestically set high on a hill overlooking Kathmandu Valley. Thereafter proceed towards Pashupatinath Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This massive temple complex sits alongside the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Only Hindus are allowed to enter the courtyard of the temple, whereas tourists can see the temple from the eastern side of the Bagmati River. Later visit Boudhanath, a Buddhist Stupa which is one of the largest in the world. This massive structure stands tall with four pairs of eyes each facing the four cardinal directions, watching for the righteous behavior of mankind and human prosperity. After exploring the valley head towards your accommodation. Later join in for a brief orientation regarding the trek.

Today you’ll be heading to other important cities in the valley. First head to Patan, the city of Fine Arts. Visit various landmarks such as Patan Durbar Square, Krishna Temple, Golden Temple (Hiranya Varna Mahavihar), and many others. The area is filled with glorious architecture and is one of the finest in the whole of the valley. Also, visit the Tibetan Handicraft Centre where you’ll see the art of making carpets by the Tibetan refugees.

Afterward, head towards Bhaktapur, the “City of Devotees”. The tour begins in Bhaktapur with a visit to Durbar Square, the Golden Gate, and the Palace of 55 Windows to see Lion’s Gate. The Nyatapola Temple, the tallest of its kind in Nepal, Bhairab Temple, and the Pottery Centre.

Pokhara: Phewa Lake

After breakfast head on a drive towards Pokhara. Following the winding roads of the Prithvi Highway along the rapids of Trishuli and Marsyangdi river reach Pokhara. Along the way witness views of the Mahabharat range and the snow-capped mountains.
Upon arriving at Pokhara head towards your accommodation and after a brief rest head out to explore the wonders of the city of lakes.

Pokhara: World Peace Pagoda

Wake up early and head towards the renowned vantage point of the region. A short drive and eventually you will reach the Sarangkot viewpoint. From the viewpoint witness grand views of the landscapes and Himalayan range. Standing above the cloud soak in the views of the sun illuminating the snowcapped peaks of Annapurna Massif, Fishtail Mountain, Dhaulagiri range, and Manaslu. After enjoying the vibrant view of the sunrise head towards your accommodation.

Later head on a guided tour that takes you to various attractions around the region. Explore various cave networks, waterfalls, ancient temples, and lakes around the city. Later in the evening stroll by the banks of the Phewa Lake and visit various pubs and restaurants in the region.

After breakfast head on a long drive towards Lumbini. The birthplace of Buddha and one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in the country. The drive takes you from the central hills of the country to the southern flat lands. Upon arriving at Lumbini and after a brief refreshment head on a half-day sightseeing tour.
The spiritual heart of Lumbini is the Maya Devi Temple where the Buddha was born under a Bodhi tree. Other sights in Lumbini are Ashoka Pillar, Buddhist Monasteries, World Peace Pagoda, and Lumbini Crane Sanctuary. After exploring around and soaking in the vibrant energy of the region head back to your accommodation.

Lumbini: Birth place of Lord Gautam Buddha

After breakfast head towards Chitwan National Park, a famous national park in Asia enlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage. Roam the endless jungle where you’ll have an excellent chance of spotting one-horned rhinos, deer, monkeys, leopards, wild elephants, the Royal Bengal Tiger along with 450 species of birds. Next head towards the bank of Rapti River to enjoy the sunset.

Chitwan: Tharu Cultural Dance

Activities at Chitwan:
13.00: Lunch.
15.00: Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the culture and lifestyle of the Tharus. Visit the Chitwan National Park Visitor’s center to learn about the history of the National Park and wildlife. After the tour head towards the bank of Rapti River and enjoy grand views during the sunset.
19.00: Tharu cultural dance presentation (which you will also participate in) by the local villagers or Slide show presentation on almost everything under the Chitwan.
20.00: Dinner.

Canoe ride

06.00: Wake-up call.
06.30: Breakfast.
07.00: Canoe ride along the Rapti River. An excellent opportunity for Bird Watching witness the biodiversity of the region + Jungle Walk + visit an elephant breeding camp.
13.00: Lunch.

15.00: Head on a Jeep Safari, an excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, wild boar, monkey, leopard, sloth bear, and the Royal Bengal Tiger (If you are lucky). Also, encounter many other smaller mammals
20.00: Dinner.

Kathmandu

Today after breakfast head back to Kathmandu. Once you reach Kathmandu proceed towards your accommodation. Later join in for a farewell dinner to mark the end of your adventure.
