Bhutan Tour With 4 Days Druk Path Trek

You’ll be welcomed by an amazing view of The Himalayas and dense green plains as you approach Bhutan. At the airport, you will be welcomed by a representative of The Alpine Club of Himalaya. Once you have checked in at your hotel, you’ll head towards a journey to Paro. In Paro, you’ll visit Dungste Lhakang a 15th-century temple with the Ugyen Perli Palace visible through its fence, the Rinpung Dzong a fortress monastery, the national museum, and Kichu Lhakhang the oldest Bhutanese temple.

After breakfast, you’ll take a scenic hike of about 4 to 5 hours to Paro Taktsang renowned as the Tiger’s Nest the most sacred monastery in Bhutan nestled on steep cliff, offering you enchanting views of the Paro valley. Guru Padmasambhava who introduced Buddhism to Bhutan is said to have meditated here for three years, three months, three weeks, three days, and three hours in the 8th century. Lunch will be served at the restaurant located halfway up the mountain, after exploring the region retrace your steps down to the valley and head towards your accommodation.

From Paro, you’ll take a short drive for about an hour to the settlement of Damchena, and from here you’ll start your trek to Jele Dzong at an elevation of 3400 meters traversing through apple orchards and pine forests. The Jele Dzong was built by Ngawang Choegyel, the great grandfather of the Zhabdrung in the 15th century. Jele Dzong is mostly in ruins explore the area and see the famous Lhakhang a Buddhist Temple with the statute of Shakyamuni Buddha. On a clear day, you’ll have a spectacular view of the Paro valley, mount Jomolhari (7,314m), and the snow-capped mountains of The Himalayas.
Overnight camp at 3,300 meters.

Today you’ll be heading to Jangchulakha, the trek starts with a gradual ascend of about 310 meters for an hour and a half, and then descend through thick alpine forests and rhododendrons woodlands. On the trail witness caravans of Yaks, high mountain lands, and a range of snowcapped mountains. Once you arrive at Jangchulakha head towards your campsite located at 3,600 meters.

The trail begins with a short climb at 330 meters following the ridgeline, you’ll be hiking through sub-alpine regions today towards the lakes of Jimilangtsho, with great views of the Jichu Drake (6,989m), the peak that represents the protective deity of Paro. Then, the trail descends further down through fir forests towards Langrithang.
Overnight camp at 3,500m.

Today’s hike will take you on a descending route through dense fir and rhododendron forests and streams before reaching the Tsaluna Monastery, a sacred site of Guru Rinpoche from the 8th century. From here follow the trail further down to the Tsaluna Village with agricultural belt with sprawling land. Once you reach Tsaluna, you’ll head on a scenic drive to Thimpu, and along with the route visit the King’s Memorial Chorten, and the majestic Tashichho Dzong.
Overnight in Thimphu.

Today you’ll be leaving Bhutan. The Alpine Club of Himalaya representative will drop you at the airport approximately 1-hour before your flight.
