Itinerary

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu on 28th January, you will be warmly greeted by a representative from Alpine Club of Himalaya at Tribhuvan International Airport. After completing your immigration formalities, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in. This day is designed for you to relax and acclimatize to the new environment, or you may choose to explore the vibrant streets of Thamel, a bustling area filled with shops, restaurants, and cultural sights. The evening will allow you to rest, preparing for the exciting adventures ahead.

On Day 2, after breakfast, you'll head to Kathmandu Domestic Airport for your scenic flight to Pokhara. The 25-minute flight offers breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayas and the valleys below. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in. You will have the rest of the day free to explore the natural beauty and tranquility of this lakeside town. Stroll along Phewa Lake, take a boat ride, or simply relax in the picturesque surroundings of Pokhara.

1. Early Morning Trip to Sarangkot for Sunrise

The day begins early with a scenic drive or hike to Sarangkot, one of the best spots in Pokhara to witness a spectacular sunrise. From this vantage point, you will have breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan mountain range, including Annapurna, Machapuchare (Fishtail), and Dhaulagiri. As the sun rises, the first rays of light illuminate the peaks, creating a truly mesmerizing experience. This early morning excursion offers the perfect opportunity to capture stunning photographs and immerse yourself in the serenity of the mountains.

2. Visit Bindhyabasini Temple

After the sunrise, you will visit the Bindhyabasini Temple, one of the oldest and most revered temples in Pokhara. Dedicated to Goddess Durga, this temple is located at an elevation that provides a peaceful atmosphere and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The temple is an important religious site for locals, and your visit will provide insights into the spiritual culture of Nepal. 3. Explore Pokhara's Famous Caves

Next, you will head to Pokhara’s famous caves, each offering a unique experience:

  • Gupteshwor Cave: This impressive cave is known for its natural beauty and the sacred Gupteshwor Mahadev Temple located within. The cave is particularly famous for the large waterfall that cascades through its entrance, creating a mesmerizing sight. The sound of the rushing water echoes through the cave, adding to its mystic ambiance.
  • Mahendra Cave: A popular limestone cave, Mahendra Cave features fascinating stalactites and stalagmites formations. As you walk through its cool, dark chambers, you’ll be greeted by the sight of intricate rock formations, making it a thrilling exploration for nature enthusiasts.
  • Bat Cave: Named for the bats that reside within, Bat Cave is an intriguing natural site.   • Davis Falls: While not a cave, Davis Falls is an essential stop on your Pokhara exploration. The falls are named after a Swiss tourist, Davis, who tragically lost her life here. The site is a popular spot for photography and enjoying the natural splendor of Pokhara.

4. Visit Peace Stupa

After exploring the caves, you will visit the Peace Stupa, located on the Pumdikot Hills. 5. Visit Pumdikot Shiva Statue

Morning: Scenic Drive to Chitwan National Park

After breakfast, you'll begin your journey to Chitwan National Park, one of Nepal's premier wildlife reserves. The drive is an unforgettable experience, taking you through lush landscapes, traditional villages, and along riverside roads, giving you a glimpse into rural life in Nepal. As you travel, you’ll pass by terraced fields, small towns, and beautiful mountain views that make the journey as scenic as the destination. The drive typically takes around 4-5 hours, depending on road conditions, and is the perfect opportunity to relax and absorb the peaceful surroundings.

Upon arrival in Chitwan, you will be transferred to your lodge or resort, where you can check in and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. The region is famous for its rich biodiversity, and you'll soon have the chance to explore this UNESCO-listed park. The day is yours to unwind and prepare for the exciting jungle activities ahead.

Evening: Visit to Tharu Cultural Center to See Tharu Dance

In the evening, you’ll visit the Tharu Cultural Center, where you will experience the vibrant and traditional Tharu dance performance. The Tharu people, indigenous to the Chitwan region, have a unique culture that is celebrated through their dances, music, and folklore. The lively performance features colorful costumes, rhythmic movements, and traditional songs that showcase the cultural richness of the Tharu community. This cultural experience is an excellent way to immerse yourself in the local traditions and heritage while enjoying the lively atmosphere of Chitwan.

After the performance, you can return to your lodge for a relaxing evening, preparing for your upcoming wildlife safari adventure in Chitwan National Park.

1. Canoe Ride on the Rapti River

After breakfast, your exciting jungle adventure begins with a canoe ride on the Rapti River. This serene experience offers an opportunity to spot various wildlife, including crocodiles, water buffaloes, and an array of birds. The calm river and its surrounding lush vegetation provide a peaceful atmosphere as you glide through the water, giving you the chance to enjoy the natural beauty of Chitwan National Park while keeping an eye out for wildlife along the banks.

2. Jungle Walk and Visit to the Elephant Breeding Centre

Following the canoe ride, you'll embark on a jungle walk through the dense forests of Chitwan National Park. Accompanied by an expert naturalist, you’ll trek through the jungle, spotting wildlife such as deer, monkeys, and birds while learning about the ecosystem and biodiversity of the park. After the walk, you will visit the Elephant Breeding Centre, where you’ll gain insight into the efforts to protect elephants and their calves. You will also have the chance to interact with the elephants, an unforgettable experience in this wildlife-rich region.

3. Lunch at the Hotel

After the morning activities, you’ll return to your lodge for a relaxing lunch. This is a great time to enjoy some downtime, savor local dishes, and prepare for the exciting afternoon safari.

4. 5-Hour Jungle Jeep Safari into Chitwan National Park

In the afternoon, you will embark on a thrilling 5-hour jungle jeep safari into the heart of Chitwan National Park. The safari will take you deep into the park's wilderness, offering the chance to see a wide variety of wildlife, including the one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tigers, leopards, and numerous bird species. Your experienced guide will provide valuable insights into the park’s ecosystem and wildlife, making this an unforgettable experience. The rugged terrain and rich biodiversity make the jeep safari the perfect way to explore the heart of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

After breakfast on Day 6, you will be transferred to Bharatpur Airport for your domestic flight back to Kathmandu. The 25-minute flight offers more breathtaking views of the landscape. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure, whether you want to rest, do some last-minute shopping, or explore more of Kathmandu’s vibrant culture. You will have a chance to reflect on your journey and enjoy your final day in Nepal.

On Day 7, your adventure comes to an end. After breakfast, depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport by Alpine Club of Himalaya. Your guide will assist you with check-in procedures, ensuring a smooth departure.
