Overview

This 16-day trek takes you to a stunning alpine valley near Kathmandu, through forests of pine, rhododendron, and bamboo, and up pastures to reach the alpine meadows of Kyanjin Gompa. From here, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the mighty Langtang Lirung (7246m) to the north, Gang Chhenpo (6388m) and Naya Kangri (5846m) to the south, and Dorje Lakpa (6966m) to the east, all just a stone's throw from the Tibetan border. The Langtang area was designated Nepal's first Himalayan National Park in 1971. As you journey from Sing Gompa to Laurebina Yak, you'll traverse a sanctuary for the endangered red panda, locally known as the 'cat bear.'

This trek follows a circular route: Kathmandu-Syabrubesi-Kyanjin Gompa-Sing Gompa-Gosaikund-Kutumsang-Kathmandu. You'll first explore Langtang before heading south to Thulo Syabru and then hike through the sacred lakes of Gosaikund on your way back to Kathmandu. This circular route helps you acclimatize before reaching the higher altitudes of Gosaikund.

Upon arriving at Kathmandu International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and assist with your hotel check-in. You can spend the rest of the day exploring this historic and vibrant city at your leisure. Meals: Welcome Dinner.
