Nepal has many secrets and the best possible way to reveal them is by getting a bird’s eyes perspective. Paragliding in Pokhara presents you with the opportunity of a gratifying experience. One of the best sites for paragliding in the country as well as the world. Paragliding in Pokhara is thrilling taking you across magnetic sceneries of hills, mountains, and lakes.
The thrill commences from Sarangkot, the capital site of paragliding of Pokhara. The hill station itself is famous for its fantastic sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayas. A short drive or a cable car ride you take you to the top of this hill station.
After a brief orientation, you will start your paragliding adventure. Literally running from a top of a hill. As you glide enjoy the freedom of flying like a bird. Witness incredible views of the Annapurna range, lush green hills dotted with villages, and rows of terrace farms. Down the valley, the mother of all lakes Phew shines with the rays of the sun. Besides the large lake witness the concert jungles of Pokhara and on the other side the lush farmlands on the edge of the valley. Flying across the green forest with views of distant hills and of course, the mountains head towards the landing zone on the banks of Harpan Khola. A river feeding into the Phewa lake surrounding by farmlands on the other end.

Paragliding:
A short drive or a cable car ride takes you to a famous vantage point of the region Sarangkot hill. From the top witness grand views around the valley and rows of the mountain to the north. After soaking in the views head towards the paragliding take-off spot. After a 25 minutes thrill, land on the other side of Phew lake. From here a short drive and eventually reach back to your accommodation.

As a first-time paraglider, I was nervous, but the pilot explained everything clearly before takeoff. Gliding over the forest and lake with the mountains in view was breathtaking.

We came to Pokhara mainly for this activity and it did not disappoint. The Sarangkot viewpoint before takeoff was stunning on its own, and the flight took it to another level.

The run off the top of Sarangkot was exhilarating, then it was pure calm gliding above the lake and farmland. Great value for a 25-minute flight.
