The Bardia National Park established in 1976 A.D and covers an area of 968 sq.km. The park lies approximately 80-150 meters above sea level and the boundary set by the mighty Karnali on the east and the hills of Churia on the north. The park is one the most isolated National park of the country and home to an increasing number of wildlife. Home to the Royal Bengal Tiger, Wild Elephant, One horn Rhino, Common Leopard, Black Buck, wide species of Deer, Boars, and much more. Also, 350 species of birds are found across the wetland of the region.
