The Everest Circuit Three High Passes, 5 summits trek is a complete circuit trek of the Khumbu Valley. A walk across the three high passes, Everest Base Camp, and the renowned vantage point of Kala Patthar. Trek Overview:

After a guided tour of the Kathmandu valley exploring ancient temples, stupas, shrines, palaces, bazaars, and the narrow streets. The next day head on a magnetic flight towards Lukla, the starting point of the Everest circuit trek. Lukla a hilltop settlement is the gateway to Everest. From Lukla start your trek traversing across lush woodlands towards the settlement of Phakding. Then head towards the bustling settlement of Namche Bazaar, the economic hub of the region. After a full day acclimatization hike at Namche exploring its nooks and corners, head towards the hamlet of Tengboche. From here begin traversing across the deep wilderness of conifers, birch, and rhododendrons towards high mountain country. To the settlement of Dingboche.

View from Nangkartsang Peak

At Dingboche, you will have your second day of acclimatization, head to Nangkartsang Peak. From the peaks summit witness grand views of the wide Imja valley, majestic views of Mt. Makalu (8,463m), Lhotse (8,749m), Cho Oyu (8,201m), Island peak (6,189m), AmaDablam (6,812m), Kangtega (6,782m), Thamserku (6,623m), Taboche (6,542m), Cholatse (6,440m), endless other peaks and the Imja Glacier.

After the acclimatization excursion at Dingboche, move towards Chhukung. Here scale the Chhukung Ri and witness views across the valley. The mountain peaks Ama Dablam, Imja Tse, Nuptse, Makalu, Lhotse, Cholaste, Tawache peak, Kantega peak, Thamserku, and Baruntse stand tall at its grandeur. From Chhukung, proceed towards Lobuche, crossing a high mountain pass of Kongma La pass at an elevation of 5,535 meters. From the summit of the pass witness grand views of mountains, glaciers, icefalls, and lakes. Follow the trail traversing across high pasture lands and arid rocky terrain with scattered boulders, with views of the Himalayas, towards Gorak Shep. On the same day hike to Everest Base Camp, and soak in the energy of the mountains.

Khumbu region

Then the following day head towards the famous vantage point of the Khumbu region, Kala Patthar at an elevation of 5545 meters. From the top observer, the grandeur views of Everest, Pumori, Nuptse, Changtse, Ama Dablam, Taweche, Kantega, Lhotse, and even Everest base camp snuggled at the base of the Khumbu Ice Fall. After scaling the Kala Patthar head towards the settlement of Lobuche. Next, following the trail terminal moraine of the Khumbu glacier head down the valley to the tiny hamlet of Dzongla. From here cross the high mountain pass of  Cho La pass at an elevation of 5420 meters. From the summit witness views of  Mount Everest, Kangega, Kwangde, Nuptse, AmaDablam, and other surrounding peaks of the Everest region, glaciers, icefalls, and river networks.

Gokyo Valley

Next, traversing along the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpo Glacier. The largest in the Nepal Himalaya head to the Gokyo Valley. The following day heads out to explore the Embrel green glacier lakes of the region and scale the Gokyo Ri. From the summit, witness splendid panoramic views of Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cholatse, and Taboche, with the Ngozumpa Glacier cutting across in front like a massive tear in the landscape.

Dudh Pokhari

Thereafter, following the banks of the Dudh Pokhari a high glacier lake with splendid views of the Mahalangur Himalayan and Rolwaling ranges and other endless peaks. Cross the high mountain pass of Renjo La at an elevation of 5360 meters. From the summit witness the views of third Gokyo Lake and Gokyo Village beneath the gray smear of Ngozumpa Glacier. Then the trail takes you traversing along an ancient route that leads into Tibet towards the secluded settlement of Thame. From Thame head towards Namche Bazaar and finally to Lukla. Eventually, catch a flight from Lukla towards Kathmandu.
