Overview

Across an area of over 952 sq. km on the southern central plains of subtropical Inner Terai Lowlands, plants and animals abound in Nepal’s largest natural reserve. The park’s southern boundary is bordered by Churia hills and the northern boundary by the Rapti River where 70% of the land is covered by Sal forest and 30% by grasslands and river land forests making it a perfect habitat for tigers, rhinos, wild elephants and various reptiles and birds, around 650 Species of birds are found in the region.

Chitwan National Park was established in 1973 A.D and was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984 A.D, the park territory covers three districts of Chitwan, Nawalpur, and Makwanpur covering a vast areas of marshlands and forests home to increasing numbers of animal species. Explore the National park and witness wildlife and learn about the people living in the heart of the jungle.

Chitwan National Park Tour offers a wilderness trip to a rich ecosystem on the hot and humidity flatlands of the southern plains, an area teamed with Tigers, pre-historic one-horn rhinos, wild elephants, fish-eating crocodiles, Asian alligators, common leopards, varieties of deer, wild boar, wild water buffalo, 40 different species of snakes including the Indian rock python biggest snake of Nepal, 650 species of birds roam the area and more the 40 different types of grass can be found in Chitwan where some of which grows taller than the elephants.

Explore the lost world by walking across towering trees and twisting vines, jeep safari in deep wilderness, canoeing on the shallow waters of the Rapti river and visiting scattered villages across the reserve of the Tharu people, hike to any vantage point which offers visitors an unrestricted view of the reserve crowned by mist under a sea of clouds experiencing the heartbeat of the jungle.

Next, head out on the banks of the Rapti River to witness the sun setting over the horizon changing the skies into an array of colors, and later join in a cultural show of the Tharu people learning about their traditions, lifestyles, and culture. Detail Itineraries

After breakfast head towards the domestic airport at Kathmandu and catch a flight to Bharatpur. The flight takes you from the central hills of the country towards the central-southern part of Nepal. Upon arriving at Bharatpur head on a short drive towards Chitwan and eventually to the Chitwan National Park. After arriving at your accommodation freshen up and relax for a while. After lunch attend a brief orientation program regarding the various activities that you will be part of. In the afternoon head on a short hike and explore the various villages of the Tharu people. Also, learn about their rich culture and traditions. After exploring around relax and enjoy the grand colors of sunset relaxing from the porch of your accommodation.
