Brian is a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, but now resides in the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee. After graduating from McNeese State University in 1989, Brian embarked on a 20-year career as a US Army officer, serving a majority of his career at assignments overseas. After retiring from the military in 2011, Brian spent the next 11 years working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Brian’s true passion is wildlife conservation and adventure travel. He has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. His passion for wildlife conservation inspired him to complete several adventure challenges to raise money for elephant conservation, including climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and completing the Everest Base Camp Trek in Nepal. He has volunteered on several cheetah conservation projects in Kenya and Somaliland. Brian is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and maintains membership in several environmental and conservation organizations. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring remote and eccentric destinations.
