The Pashupatinath, Budhanilkantha, Doleshwor, Manakamana & Muktinath Spiritual Tour can be enjoyed throughout the year, but spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are considered the best seasons. During these months, the weather is pleasant, skies are generally clear, and the mountain views are at their finest, making travel comfortable and sightseeing more enjoyable.
Spring brings mild temperatures and blooming rhododendron forests, creating beautiful scenery along the journey to Muktinath. Autumn offers stable weather, excellent visibility, and vibrant festive celebrations such as Dashain and Tihar, providing visitors with a deeper cultural and spiritual experience.
Winter (December to February) is also a good time for pilgrimage, although temperatures in Muktinath can drop below freezing, especially during the mornings and evenings. Travelers visiting during this season should pack warm clothing.
The monsoon season (June to August) transforms the hills into lush green landscapes. While occasional rainfall may affect road conditions, the temples remain open, and the pilgrimage can still be completed with proper planning.
Regardless of the season, each sacred destination offers a unique spiritual atmosphere, allowing pilgrims and travelers to experience Nepal's rich religious heritage and breathtaking natural beauty.

All travelers must carry a valid passport with at least six months' validity from the date of departure from Nepal. Most foreign nationals require a Nepal Tourist Visa, which can be obtained from a Nepalese Embassy or Consulate before travel or on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu.

When visiting Nepal's sacred temples, visitors are encouraged to dress modestly and respectfully. Clothing that covers the shoulders and knees is recommended, and shoes must be removed before entering temple premises. Photography may be restricted inside certain temples, so please follow the guidance of your tour guide and respect local customs at all times.
Some temples, such as Pashupatinath, allow only Hindus to enter the main shrine. However, visitors of all faiths can enjoy the temple surroundings, observe traditional rituals from designated viewing areas, and appreciate the site's rich cultural and spiritual significance.
This tour is suitable for travelers of all ages and does not involve strenuous trekking. However, the visit to Muktinath Temple (3,800 m) takes you to a higher altitude where some visitors may experience mild effects such as shortness of breath or fatigue. Staying hydrated, dressing appropriately for the weather, and taking your time while exploring the temple complex will help ensure a comfortable visit.
If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, we recommend consulting your doctor before traveling. Our experienced team will always be available to assist you throughout the journey and help ensure a safe and enjoyable pilgrimage.
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, a representative from Alpine Club of Himalaya will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. After some time to freshen up, begin your guided sightseeing tour of three of Nepal's most sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites.
Your first stop is Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal's most sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Situated on the banks of the Bagmati River, the temple is renowned for its spiritual atmosphere, ancient architecture, and centuries-old religious rituals. Although only Hindus are permitted to enter the main temple, visitors can observe the sacred ceremonies and traditional cremation rituals from the surrounding areas. Continue to Budhanilkantha Temple, located at the base of Shivapuri Hill, approximately 8 km north of Kathmandu. The temple is famous for its magnificent five-meter-long stone statue of Lord Vishnu reclining on the cosmic serpent Sheshnag. Carved from a single block of black basalt stone during the Licchavi period, it is one of Nepal's finest examples of ancient stone craftsmanship and an important pilgrimage site for Hindu devotees.
The final visit of the day is Doleshwor Mahadev Temple in Bhaktapur, a revered shrine believed to be the sacred head of Kedarnath. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva transformed himself into a bull to avoid the Pandavas after the Mahabharata war. While the body remained at Kedarnath in India, devotees believe the head appeared at Doleshwor Mahadev. In 2009, the head priest of Kedarnath officially recognized Doleshwor Mahadev as the head part of Kedarnath, further strengthening its religious significance for pilgrims.
After completing the day's pilgrimage, drive back to your hotel in Kathmandu for an overnight stay, preparing for the journey ahead.
