Kalinchok Bhagwati Temple is a Hindu shrine in Dolkha District of Nepal, situated in Kalinchowk VDC in Dolkha at the altitude of 3,842 m from sea-level. It is part of Gaurishankar Conservation Area from where two rivers Sun Kosi and Tama Kosi rivers are sourced. This trip will be the best choice for those who don’t want to trek in Nepal, but want to gaze upon the Himalayas close up.
Kalinchowk Bhagwati in Gaurishankar Conservation Area is 3,800m in height. Kuri Village at 3,200m is where your hotel located. During winter, this place is covered by snow. Kalinchowk is the starting point to Everest Base Camp Trek before the Lukla airport was built and started operating. From here, you can trek for 5 days and you will arrive at Lukla. Although a picture tells you thousand things but you surely don’t want to miss these natural beauty being close standing there in person. The cloudless sky so blue, and the snow-peaked mountains that stand before you majestically – which any camera cannot capture its beauty.

One night two days Kalinchowk tour package for couples is popular among the local tourists. The tour includes a scenic drive, hike, and visit Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple. After reaching Charikot, drive on a rough road for about 2 hours will take us to Kuri village where we’ll stay for the night. The next day, we take a cable car ticket and reach the Temple. Reaching the top, you can enjoy the fantastic view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Gaurishakar and other sky-high mountains.

Kalinchowk is accessible all year round; however, the best time to visit Kalinchowk depends on the purpose of your visit. If your preference is a short trek and visit to Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple, then summer or autumn will be the perfect time for you as the weather won’t be too cold and the price of accommodation will be low during this time. But if you wish to enjoy snowfall or any other snow activities, then December, January, and February would be the ideal months for you to visit as you will find snow everywhere. This time is also the peak tourism season of this reason. You can enjoy lots of snow games during this time, including snowboarding. But, as it is the peak season, you will find the place crowded, and accommodation will also be a bit expensive. Kalinchowk Kuri village is a popular spot skiing place.
However, the best time for this fantastic view is in October, November, February, and March. We don’t need to trek if you don’t wish to, we can drive up there for this view.

We will depart from Kathmandu at around 6:30 am at the meeting point (TBC). By 9:30 am we will reach River Bay Resort, Sukute for lunch. At 10:30 am, we will depart for Charikot and arrive there by 1:30 pm (approximately), and finally reaching our destination Kuri Village by 6:00 pm. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2: Visit Kalinchowk Temple, Dolkha Bhimsen and departure to Kathmandu
Wake up at 4:00 am. After morning activities, move for Kalinchowk temple by 5:00 am. It is nearly about 1.5 hours hike to the temple, and we will be back to the hotel by 8:00 am for breakfast. Then we will depart for Charikot Dolkha Bhimsen Mandir and will have lunch at Charikot. Finally, at 1:00 pm, we will depart for Kathmandu. By 7:00 pm, we will arrive in Kathmandu.
