Overview

From the moment you arrive in Kathmandu, you discover its colorful cultural history, evident in the sheer number of temples and festivals. We complete our tour to the cultural heritage sites of the Kathmandu Valley which is illustrated by seven groups of monuments and buildings which display the full range of historic and artistic achievements for which the Kathmandu Valley is world famous. The seven include the Durbar Squares of Hanuman Dhoka (Kathmandu), Patan and Bhaktapur, the Buddhist stupas of Swayambhu and Bauddhanath and the Hindu temples of Pashupati and Changu Narayan. We continue onwards to Pokhara, famous for its splendid natural beauty as well as its trekking and hiking. When the time comes to travel to Chitwan, you will understand why Nepal is considered the biggest natural museum in the world. The Chitwan National Park has Sal forests that cover 70% of the area and there are about 600 species of plants and 450 species of birds. Nepal is also home to the only significant number of one-horned rhinos and other endangered species like the Bengal Tiger, the gangetic dolphins and the gharial crocodiles. There are altogether over 43 species of large mammals, 526 species of birds, 150 different types of butterflies, 126 species of fish and 49 species of reptiles in this wonderful Park.
