Nepal

Namaste!
Nepal is a popular destination for the multi-day trek, with hundreds of trekking trails running from the plains of terai (60m) to the top of the world (8849m) Mount Everest. The sloppy hills with remote villages, forests and river streams on the lap of the tallest mountains make trekking in Nepal an ultimate adventure. The activity offers stunning mountains views, a physically challenging journey, warm Nepalese hospitality, and a unique way of life far behind modern times. Out of the ten highest mountains in the world, 8 are located in Nepal. The country is home to rare and endangered species like Red Panda, Snow Leopard, and One Horned Rhinoceros. It is also rich in biodiversity with rare alpine herbs like Jatamasi, Panch Aunle, and Yarsha Gumba.

Nepal is a country where people still practice ancient rituals and believe in good Karma. Festivals are celebrated all year round with true devotion creating a beautiful harmony in the society. Temples and religious shrines are found even in the remote trails of Dolpo and Kanchenjunga. Nepal holds beautiful freshwater lakes like Rara, Shey Phoksundo, and Fewa whose magnificent views are jaw-dropping. Whether you are looking for a day’s trek or a weeks-long trek, Nepal has the best trails for both. It is one of the safest countries to travel and trekking is the best way to reconnect with Nature. If you are planning to trek in Nepal, feel free to contact the Alpine Club of Himalayas for a customized package. Get the most out of your budget and time.
