Tibet Tour with Everest Base Camp is the most demanding and popular tour to Tibet, where you’ll be embarking on a journey on a 920 kilometers stretch of road, known as the Friendship Highway between Lhasa to Kathmandu.

Itinerary

From Kathmandu International Airport catch a flight to the Gonggar Airport, which is considered one of the most beautiful flights in the world.
Once you land at Gonggar Airport, you'll meet up with your Tibetan guide and after immigration formalities, head towards Lhasa at an altitude of 3650 meters. Once your reach Lhasa head towards your accommodation and rest.

The tour begins with a visit to Sera Monastery with white-washed walls and golden roofs. From here you'll head towards Norbulingka, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama, and from here next head towards Jokhang Temple another sacred place that unravels more deep-seated mysteries of Tibetan Buddhism.
Visit the market of Barkhor and roam around the city observing and learning Tibetan culture, customs, and tradition. After exploration head towards your accommodation.

Today you'll be heading towards Potala Palace and Drepung Monastery, this 17th-century Potala Palace offers an awesome view of the entire city and private quarters of the Dalai Lama, numerous grand staterooms, and prayer halls, the palace is located on a hilltop on a rugged arid dry landscape of high Himalayan plateau after exploring Potala Palace, next head towards ancient Monastery of Drepung which was built in the 14th century and used to shelter around 10,000 monks but the number has declined to few hundreds. Once exploring the area head towards your accommodation.

Drive to Gyantse passing the beautiful Yamadroke Lake and high passes of Kora La at an elevation of 5,010 meters and another pass of Kamba La at an altitude of 4,794 meters traversing across various countryside settlements along the high Himalayan Plateau. Once you reach Gyantse you'll be visiting Pholkor and Kumbum Monastery. Once you explore the monastery head towards your accommodation.

Visit Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpu Monastery which holds high significance for the people living in the area. After exploring the Monastery head on a long drive to Xegar crossing over a pass of 5,200 meters at Gyatchula, crossing arid high dry Himalayan drylands.

Today's drive is long and filled with the scenic beauty of high Himalayan drylands and Plateau with snowy mountain peaks on the backdrop taking you past various countryside settlements. Once you reach Ronbuk, head towards your accommodation after checking in head out to visit the highest monastery in the world the Ronbuk Monastery.

Wake up early and after breakfast hike to the Tibetan side of the Everest Base camp, the view of the mighty Everest and endless mountain range is grand from here, after exploring the base camp head back to Ronbuk and drive towards Kerung crossing the border between China and Nepal. Once you reach Kerung head towards your accommodation and rest.

After early breakfast, head towards Kathmandu driving past the Rasuwa Gadi border, passing various settlements, endless hills of dense forest, and rapidly flowing rivers. Once you reach Kathmandu head towards your hotel and check in.
Later in the evening join in for a special dinner program with a cultural show to mark the end of your journey.

    One of my best life time experience by doing this trek. We managed EBC with the help of Alpine, Sujan and very experienced guides. Visited Tibet and fly back to Kathmandu. All went very well and. As per plan. Alpine club of Himalaya is highly recommended.
